When it comes to places to work, you don’t get much better than this.

Will, Jen and the BKI team were treated to a lovely, grassy office over the weekend provided by The Gemba Group and Blackmores Sydney Running Festival, when they commissioned us to build them this amazing centrepiece stand that was on display as the runners headed triumphantly towards the finishing line.

We’re so pleased about this job on so many levels.

Firstly, our client, Elysia Vickas and her team at The Gemba Group, were very happy, specifically with the grass render, which they described as “on point”. They and Blackmores were ecstatic at the final product, and it’s this reaction that makes all of the hard work worth it.

It was a delight to work with the team at The Gemba Group who appreciated and respected both our ideas and creativity throughout the process, and their belief was rewarded when we delivered the final product.

Secondly, we knew immediately that the stand was very popular with the public, given that the line to take a photo was over 30 minutes long, and social media is now flooded with photos of runners posing in front.

We had other sponsors and brands compliment the stand too, and it was an honour to receive such positive feedback.

But most of all, our team were most proud to have been part of such a momentous day which has been running now since 2001, boasting over 33,000 participants from over 66 countries, set in one of the most beautiful cities on Earth.

The event is also a hugely successful fundraising activity supporting a number of local and national based charities. In 2017, the event helped to raise over $1,750,000 for charitable organisations, and has raised over $18,650,000 since its inception.

All-in-all, this was a great event and another fantastic project imagineered by our BKI team!
